wHAT KIND OF MONKEY IS GEORGE and lacy? What about nash?
They are both black cap capuchins and also full siblings! Nash is the nephew of both George and Lacy!
How old is george?
George is Twelve years old! His birthday is May seventeenth!
How old is Lacy? How old is nash?
Lacy is 16 and her birthday is still unknown. Awaiting records for validation. Nash was born on June 10, 2021.
How did george come into your lives?
We rescued George over ten years ago after he had been rehomed several times. At the time, Georges's mom had just been diagnosed with CRPS, a potentially crippling disease. We had discussed the possibility of a service animal and when we found out about George and his situation we had to get him! He is now in his forever home with us!
How did lacy come into your lives? Where did you get nash?
Lacy was at a sanctuary in Florida that was destroyed in one of the hurricanes during 2020. George's mom went to pick her up in October 2020. Nash came into our lives from a breeder in Texas. We had no idea of the bloodline relationship between George and Lacy! We are thrilled to have him and look forward to watching him grow up.
Do you donate the fan mail?
Yes! We partner with a special needs school and donate to families in need around the US.
IS A PERCENTAGE OF THE PROCEEDS GOING SOMEWHERE?
Yes! Currently we are donating to a sanctuary in Florida that was affected by the 2020 hurricanes. We also donated to help some monkeys out with vet bills in 2021. Lastly, we did a fund raiser for Lafora and total proceeds were over $3K. Georgie Boy is actively giving back to those in need.
What happened to georgie boy?
On June 7, 2021 on a routine visit with his VET, George passed away and left us empty and broken hearted. Due to an underlying lung disease, which we had no idea of, George was unable to recover from anesthesia. We will always miss our little guy.
Will we see more of lacy or is she going back to the sanctuary?
Yes, Lacy is slowly but surely coming out of her shell and grieving over George. She has her own personality and is very loving. We plan on keeping Lacy with us after long talks with the sanctuary and owners. We are excited to have her!!
Will we ever get another male capuchin?
Absolutely, and his name is NASH!
